Heating Installation – warm where you need it

Heating Installation – warm where you need it

Heating installation is a growing source of heating in the cold countries. Heating installation is installed in both residential and commercial buildings. The heating systems of earlier days relied on air movement and the ducts were oversized. This resulted in noisy and dusty systems. Today electric heating is better as they are not only safe and reliable but clean and economical too.

Conventional Heating System v/s Contemporary Heating Installation System
Conventional heating system used hot water baseboard or forced hot air. The heat is blown into a room at high temperatures. This light hot air rises above the heavier cold air. So your feet remain chilly and the head becomes warm. Even if you turn the thermostat high, the hot air will keep rising. On the other hand, in the contemporary heating system the floor gradually warms to a maximum temperature and then acts as a huge radiator. This keeps our toes warm and comfortable and head cool. The Romans used this technique in 40 AD.

Radiant Heating Systems for Wooden Floors
The heat source is directly beneath the flooring in the radiant heating installations. Wood flooring can be installed over radiant heat as long as the right kind of wood is used. While installing wood flooring care need to be taken that dry slab and dry sub floor is used. Turning on the radiant heating system before installation of wooden floor can dry the slabs and the sub floor system. If the moisture is not removed before the heating installation then there is a fair chance of moisture entering the wooden flooring when the heat is turned on. This will result in the expansion, contraction, cracks, cup and bow excessively in the flooring. All species of wood are not good for an installation over radiant heating. It is best to take the advice of a professional. The three thermostats that control the tubing water supply temperature, room temperature and one for outside the house – works best for the wood flooring. Three thermostats are required, as people tend to raise the heat when they are cold, however, the system with three thermostats adapts itself to conditions both inside and out side. The thermostat fixed outside adapts the system for the colder climate and a thermostat of the tube controls the temperature of water. The electric radiant floor heating is more efficient than other heating systems. It is a misconception that the electric radiant heating is very energy consuming.
