Storage
Tool storage
has always been a problem not only for households but also for
workshops and professional laborers. Where can one store the tools.
What if one wants a portable storage or a fixed storage? Many
such questions crop up. The answer to this is tool storage.
Many
tool storage devices exist. Some of these are:
Tool Bags are handy portable storage kits that are used to carry
light to medium weight tools. They are used by plumbers, carpenters,
etc. They are made of fabric (canvas or other) that withstands
abuse. The bags feature wide openings that stay open for easy
access. They include exterior pockets and interior pockets, as
well as outside web and buckle straps for a level or long-handled
tool and a loop for storing duct tape and keys.
Tool boxes
are portable wooden or metal boxes that are used to carry heavier
tools as compared to tool bags. They are designed to stand up
to the rigors of the jobsite. They include quick-access storage
areas on both sides and lid-access storage with snap-shut closures.
The handles and side grips are generally covered by rubber.
Tool belts
and organizers are also used. These come in the forms of belts
with hoops to fasten the tools while one is working providing
easy access to the tool one requires instead of hunting for it
in bags and boxes.
A pegboard
allows you to organize tools and parts by pegging them onto a
pegboard with hooks or hangers attached. The tools can hang from
these. Pegboards are generally fixed but one does get portable
ones too.
Storage Chests
are immovable tool storage devices. These are for protecting valuable
tools and for storing heavy tools. Thus they come with a secure
lock and hard exterior which is tough to pry open. The chests
are firmly welded or constructed for greater strength and stability.
These also are either compartmentalized for greater efficiency
for locating type of tools. Some come with wheels attached to
enable smother movement if needed.
Tool Cabinets
are suited for machining centers and metalworking shops. They
can store drills, taps, reamers, fasteners, hand tools, cutting
tools, and more. The cabinets have a heavy load capacity and are
stable due to heavy and broad base. They generally are either
opened on a drawer based style or a door based styled. Some are
merely crude shelves as well.
Tool Towers
are also used as storage devices for tools.
Thus as one
can see storing tools is easier when considers these options and
tool storage no longer becomes a headache.
