Cutting ceramic tile is easy with the right tools. Ceramic floor tile cutting can be attained with nippers, a carbide wheel tile cutter or a diamond saw cutter. Tile cutting also can be done in circles or the edges clipped off for pipes or other fittings. There are more than a few tools to use when cutting or shaping ceramic tile. Tile is a great deal like glass. When you score the glazed surface cleanly and then be appropriate pressure to each side of the tile, it will almost always break quite cleanly on the score mark. Tile cutters enclose a carbide wheel just like standard glass cutters. The effortless tile cutters have a fence that holds the tile square to the cutting blade. You slide the handle while applying force and you get a clean, straight line. Press down on the rear of the handle and the tile pops.

You can cut quickly and accurately with one of these. Don't think of buying one. A decent one costs nearly $1,000.

Cut around the circles:

You have two choices of the way to cut around the sides. You can buy nice, though costly for onetime use, carbide circle whole saws. You can also get an inexpensive carbide rod saw that will do the job. The rod saw blade fits into a usual hacksaw frame. To create the rod saw work. You will have to drill a huge enough hole in the tile that will allow you to insert the actual blade. Once you get the thing in the hole, and then attach the rod saw blade to the hacksaw frame. You are required to support the tile firmly as you saw. If you are not able to, as you near the end of your cut, you will crack the tile. Always slow down the cutting procedure and use less force as you near the end of your cuts.
