HID
Lighting - Lighter, Brighter, Whiter
High
intensity discharge lighting for whiter and brighter light
High
intensity discharge lighting is not made up of a filament but
there is a capsule of gas and the light evolves through the gas
with the help of two electrodes. The halogen bulb has a high consumption
of voltage and the brightness is normal. But if you intend to
save more and have a brighter light then HID is a correct option.
With the same amount of voltage and current in comparison to the
halogen, HID as a better working capacity. Even when it comes
to durability even then these lamps have a high performance power
over the halogens. Due to the increase in popularity there is
a rise in accessories and fixtures associated with this.
Basic
uses of HID lighting
If you are looking out for a better light, brighter light along
with a stronger view then this is the right choice because it
is in a combination. When it comes to a comparison then there
is a clear view that the consumption of electricity of halogens
is more than HID lights. If comparison is sketched out then it
is seen that the efficiency of these lights is six to seven times
more than the incandescent lamps. A halogen light gives out a
light that is yellowish in color and itching to the eyes but HID
gives out a light that is soothing and brighter. This kind of
light does not hurt the eye. There is not extra temperature to
give a feeling of uneasiness. Along with all these factors these
lights have a life that is three to five times more than the halogen.
Other
advantages
Other advantages are mainly when one has to save time and energy
in the form of electricity but there are some precautions to be
taken. Any thing should not touch the quartz tube as it can be
of a great harm to the other parts. As contamination can ruin
the quality of lamps there should be a check on the cleaning of
surface with a cloth immersed in alcohol
