The
beauty and elegance of any modern house in today’s date
can be easily judged by the quality and appearance of the flooring.
Everybody wants to be well equipped with a premier typed of flooring
which looks attractive and at the same time can bear the normal
wear and tears. Floating Floor is one such type of floor which
is rather then being nailed or glued to a concrete or plywood
subfloor, is float atop the subfloor. In short it can be said
that floating floors are the solution for a specific requirement
of the market for extremely flexible flooring, subject to modifications
after laying that can be done at any time without brickwork operations.
Some
very distinct features of Floating floors
There are many advantages of floating floors over normal flooring.
The floating flooring system is a very exclusive and unique system
which allows rational use of spaces to create an adequate distribution
network, transmission and automation system. Floating floors keeps
moving with changes in humidity in the room where they are installed.
Because of this particular feature, a small gap is left around
the edges, and cabinets or fixtures are not recommended to attach
through the finished floor to the subfloor. If these floors are
properly installed and well-maintained, then it will never buckle,
crack or squeak. A flooring with a superb provision of maintenance
work on electrical wiring and on the pipes installed under the
floor, floating floors are now a very widely used construction
method. The modularity and the ease of installation of the floating
floors provide the perfect response to the need for flexibility
in today's workspaces, whose continuing evolution requires more
and more complex technologies. The modular panels making up floating
floors can easily be removed in order to undergo rapid and effective
maintenance work without the need for masonry work, cutting costs
and time required. All these above mentioned features along with
the growing dependability of load-bearing structures have contributed
to the growing popularity of floating floors in offices, showrooms,
dealerships and in all the spaces used for productive activities.
Ways
to install a floating floor
The installation of floating floors takes the least amount of
time as almost all of them are constructed in wide panel type.
They are generally installed by gluing the tongue and the groove,
and are not mechanically fastened to the sub floor. Nearly all
the floating floors are installed in a typical engineering fashion
but have totally different appearances.
