Here Are All Ways To Light Up
a Deck
(1) Coach lanterns: Using post lanterns on deck posts
and coach lanterns on house walls that are near deck
areas can add a decorative sparkle to your deck lighting.
(2) Landscape down lights: Mounting
landscape down lights every few feet along the deck railing
or the deck itself can provide sturdy low-level light.
(3) Photocells: Turn on lights
automatically from dusk to dawn with photocells. Pick
a photocell with maximum wattage capacity greater than
the total wattage of the lights you want to control.
Photocells waste energy by keeping lights on all night
every night.
(4) Sensor
floodlights: For added security, a sensor-controlled
floodlight will light your deck whenever anyone comes
within the sensor’s
range. Sensors save energy by keeping lights off unless
they are needed.
(5) Sensors: You can use sensors
mounted separately from lights to control any of your
deck lighting. A good suggestion is a Hi/lo sensor. It
gives you dusk to dawn lighting at 20% or the normal
fixture brightness. When the sensor detects movement,
lights come to full brightness.
(6) Incandescent floodlights:
Deck Lighting can be accomplished very effectively with
floodlights mounted on the house, nearby trees or the
deck posts.
And many more, deck lights will
enhance the beauty to a great level.
