Cleaning
The Toddlers
Babies are adorable. However, the adorable little ones
literally have no control over their bodily functions.
So the mother of the baby needs to be on round the clock
cleanup duty and it is inevitable. Two activities that
take up the time of a new mother are the feeding of the
baby and cleaning him. There are times when they will
realize that they have not found time for the house hold
chores and all that they have been doing is feeding and
cleaning the baby. The only way to handle this inevitable
pressure is to be disciplined and organized. All the
chores like arranging nappies, clothes, changing sheets,
wash clothes and bathing baby have to be systemized.
Keep everything in place, so that it can be found easily.
Bathing And Cleaning The toddler
There should be a bath routine for the baby. This helps
the mother to remember the bathing habits of the baby.
This includes things like the warmth of the water and
the sleeping time of the baby. Some babies dislike taking
bath everyday. In that case sponge clean the baby. Always
keep the bathing and cleaning items in one place. So
it is always at hand. Baby's hair need not be washed
everyday. Wiping it with a damp flannel cloth will remove
the dirt. Nibble the nails of the baby after the bath
or use a pair of scissors to cut them off while their
sleeping. The ears and the nose should be gently wiped
with a wet cotton wool. These organs clean by themselves.
Changing Diapers
It is necessary to change diapers for the baby now and
then. Before changing the diaper assess the situation
by peeing into the back of the baby's diaper. If the
situation is grim, before changing assemble the supply
of clean diaper and several wipes. Lay the baby on the
pad , remove the soiled diaper and wipe from front to
back thoroughly. Now place the baby in the clean diaper.
Tips To Remember
1. After the bath wrap your baby in a towel to keep
it warm.
2. Use little cotton wool dipped in cooled boiled water
to wipe the eyes.
3. Wipe the face and neck with damp flannel. Wipe dry
their hands after every meal.
4. Change them in special bedtime clothes. This helps
them to get used to a bedtime routine.
