Fixtures
You can add
a class and touch of your personality to a home by just updating
the fixtures. If a home is beginning to look or feel dated, or
you just want something new. Think about the fixtures! Spending
a couple of hundred dollars on new door knobs through out the
house can be the touch that you were missing.
I have heard
numerous contractors state that new knobs on the kitchen cabinets
can give a new look without forking over for new cabinets. It
will give your home a different look and feel.
It is amazing
how simply opening a door can make you feel better about your
home. There are possibilities from mild to wild. Remember that
if you go too wild that the investment return at sale time might
hurt you.
There are
so many options. Just visit any home improvements store and you
will be overwhelmed by all the options. My parents live in a very
old farmhouse. Way Cool! I learned most of what I know from helping
my father work on that home over the years. There were some very
neat old wall lights that were really showing their age. My parents
went on an exhaustive search to find something comparable or new
ones. To no avail. They found a place that could redo them. After
they got done they looked new. What a beautiful addition to the
room. It gave it that extra touch that complete.
