Leather Painting - the richness, the class, great price
To
have a combination of an inviting look and a fine finish with
a glaze and then there is a recreated look of the leather. It
is very simple to apply as there is a chamois-cloth painting tool

leather covering. The only material that is used is glazing medium
Painter's tape, Paint tray and roller, Paint mixing stick, Small
foam brush, Chamois cloth and rubber band, Scissors, Pail of water
and Clean rags. After the application of a base coat and a glaze
coat or glaze mixture, a plastic drop cloth is pressed into the
wet glaze to texture the surface.
Easy
to apply
The first step is to mask the edges of the wall with painter's
tape so that a crème base coat can be applied to the wall
and then it is allowed to dry. A combination of tan paint and
glazing medium is taken in a paint pan to create the desired color
of the top-coat glaze. The application is section wise and then
a paint roller is used to apply the glaze to the section of wall.
When the glaze dries it is advised to press a damp cloth on the
surface of the wall to soften the look and giving it a style.
The process of application is continued in this manner and then
there is an application of glaze and then the glaze dries quickly.
Uses
of masking
Masking of panels is necessary because masking one panel covers
adjacent panels, you will paint every other panel at a time and
hence it saves your time. Masking of the outline is necessary
with the usage of running tape along the outside of the pencil
lines. Initially leather walls were done in panels because few
animals have hides large enough to cover an entire wall. Marking
of the panel heights is necessary so that there is layout a horizontal
break between panels at chair-rail height. A little bit of variation
is expected but then after the final finishing is done then it
gives a perfect look.
