To start with one should use wood or steel framed flats covered

used for faux brick painting:
•
Sculpt or coat Method – Right after the application
of tape for the mortar lines, the sculpt or coat should be spreaded
over the whole surface. Using a sponge try daubing the surface
in order to create the required textures. Then the surface should
be allowed to dry completely before painting.
• Cardboard Method – This is the
most cost effective and easy way to get a brick painted wall.
The desired sizes of the brick should be glued to the surface
with the help of white glue of sculpt or coat. Then a very light
layer of sculpt and coat should be added to the top surface of
the bricks in order to seal and add texture. Then it should be
daubed with sponge or rag in order to give surface texture while
the sculpt or coat is wet. The next will be to wait until the
sculpt and coat dries totally and then start painting.
• Saw Dust Method – A sawdust collection
which can be found in any of the scene shops as well as in the
piles of sawdust around the house must be saved and recycled.
As soon as the tapes were applied for the mortar lines, the whole
area should be fully brushed with white glue. Then the sawdust
should be shacked generously over the whole surface. The sawdust
should be then patted with gloved hands. The surface should be
elevated or tapped so that the excess sawdust may fall off. All
the masking tapes must be removed before the bricks dry and finally
the bricks should be left untouched for drying before starting
off to paint.
