Ball screw engineering:
The ball engineering system is very efficient and provides long and
most accurate service and performance for a long variety of notion and
rotary application. These Ball Screw Systems provide quiet, precise
rotary-to-linear and/or linear-to-rotary motion for machine tools and
other applications with negligible transmission loss. These ball screws
are very efficient and they can also be used with smaller, more economical
motors.
Ball bearing: Ball screw engineering
These Ball screw bearings are specially designed for use in ball screw
or lead screw applications. Most ball screw support bearings are angular
contact bearings with a steep contact angle, such as 60°, and are
available in duplex, triplex and quadruplex configurations. Other designs
include bearings containing separate thrust and radial roller bearings
in a single assembly. Cartridge designs are also available that include
a housing, seals, and bearings.
The efficiency of the ball bearing depends on the dimension of the ball
bearing which help it to work more efficiently and accurate. These include
bore, bearing or housing outside diameter, outer ring width, and overall
width. The bearing industry uses a standard number system for bearings
with metric diameter bores.
There are the choices of ball bearing it may be one directional thrust
bearing, duplex set, triplex set or quadruplex set. A one directional
thrust bearing is a one single directional thrust angular contact style
bearing. Tolerates some misalignment. Same radial load as deep-groove
bearings, but 2-3 times the thrust load. Some ball screw support bearings
are pre-assembled in a flanged cartridge unit. The cartridge typically
consists of housing with boltholes parallel to the bearing axis, bearings,
and seals. Ball screw support bearings can be preassembled in a block
or pillow block unit. The bearing assembly has a mounting surface perpendicular
to the bearing axis and is assembled via predrilled boltholes. The pillow
block assembly typically includes seals.
Specific function:
To provide high level of service these ball bearing are competent to
give these special service. They determine the maximum compression load
the ball Screw. Determine the type of end fixity to be used (see Bearing
Support Arrangement). Determine the maximum length between the bearings
support and the load. Locate the point where a vertical line (representing
length between bearing support and load) intersects a horizontal line
(representing compression load).
