Ball screw design:
There is no physical contact between the screw and nut. As the screw
or nut rotates, and the rolling balls reach the trailing end of the nut,
they are deflected or guided from this "pitch" contact by means of return
tube and returned to the leading end of the circuit. Ball screws offer
an efficient means of converting rotary motion to linear motion. A ball
screw is an improvement over an acme screw just as an antifriction ball
bearing is an improvement over a plain bushing. Ball screw assemblies
have a number of bearing balls that transfer the load between the nut
and screw. The thread form in which the bearing balls ride is an logical
shape formed from two arcs of the same radius with offset centers. This
form is also referred to as a gothic arch.
Ball screw lead characteristics:
Lead Accuracy:
Measured in inch/inch or m/25mm.
Ball Circle Diameter:
The diameter of the circle generated by the center of the bearing balls.
Lead:
The distance the nut advances in one revolution (lead = pitch x number
of starts).
Root Diameter:
The diameter of the screw at the bottom of the thread groove.
Nominal Ball Diameter:
The approximate diameter of the load carrying balls contained in the
ball nut.

Mountain screw gun:
Now it seems that the idea of a gun in two parts had its origin in Russia, having been proposed bin 1876 by Captain Kolokolzor, Director of a factory at Obuchow. In 1877 Colonel le Mesurier RA proposed an RML 7-pr (2.5-inch) steel gun made in two...
Rotary screw:
The most common rotary screw airend is the single stage helical or spiral lobe oil-injected screw and these airends consist of two rotors within housing where the rotors compress the air internally. Oil injected airends operate with oil present...
T-6 torx bit screwdriver:
The t-6 torx bit screwdriver will eliminate the problems associated with over tightened or loose tool insert screws. The kit comes with a torque-limiting screwdriver marked with the correct torque for each size of Torx screw used in tool holders....
