Water drainage

Removal of water from surface and subsurface level is called water drainage it can be done by both natural and artificial means in order to make the soil more fertile and increase the production or to manage water supplies. There are many system for drainage like deranged drainage system, dendritic drainage system, parallel drainage system, radial drainage system, internal drainage system these drainage system can work in both natural and artificial means. Surface water means the rain water which flows from one property of water that drains to the sewer to the public. And the under ground water drainage means drainage which is done under water by artificial means

Main Functions:
Drainage of water includes removal of excess of water from the ground by the help of drainage equipment it can be done by the system of surface ditching, or under ground conduits. Ground water drainage is considered to be a vital and most hidden resource and always depend on the quality and quantity by which its purity and availability is always taken for granted. It is the water that saturates the tiny spaces between alluvial material or the crevices and fractures in the rock it is also a critical component of management plans which are developed by the watershed partners.

Water shed is the most important component of water drainage. It is the drainage basin mainly used for the separating the catchments area of any river or group of river system. It may also define as the region of land where water flows into the particular body of water, such as river, Lake, ocean. The rain water which flows anywhere comes and accumulate into the specified water basin or catchments basin and water is purified and get ready for the better use. Water shed is also a ridge between two areas that directs drainage from either side. In one side of water shed river and stream flows and in other side they flow in another direction and the whole area is drained by the water drainage system.

Conclusion:
Drainage of both surface and subsurface water constitute good water drainage by the help of better drainage equipment.
