Municipal agencies responsible for solid waste management lack sufficient resources and equipment for drain cleaning. There is often poor communication and co-ordination between the different urban authorities responsible for operating and maintaining the various components of the drainage network. For the proper working there is a need of planning concerning the storm drainage but unfortunately even in the developed urban city planning, design, operation, and maintenance is really a challenge for the higher authorities.
