Creation of new lawn and site

If you plan to keep the turf longer than 48 hours before laying, it's best to lay out each piece of turf separately in a shady area. Water if the conditions become dry. The plugs should be prearranged in rows that have six to twelve inches of space between them, and they should be planted four to six inches apart in holes that are an inch or two deep. The planted plugs should be lightly raked and rolled with a lawn roller that is half full of water.
