Procedure to prepare the lampshade slips cover
The lampshade slip cover can be prepared at home. Take a light weigh paper which is tall enough according to the size of the lampshade and additional half inches. While cutting for the width of the lampshade the size of the paper should be seven inches extra the width of the lampshade. On the other side of the paper make lines which are half inches apart from each other depending upon the desired size of the pleat. Mark lines across the paper used for making the lampshade slip cover using a bone scorer. To make the desired crisp creases, use the marked lines as a guideline to fold the paper with the help of bone scorer. Now, to make a shape of cylinder attaches two ends with white craft glue. In the end if the person want to make cover of the shade large then use additional paper and another pleat to attach at both the ends.
Use a whole punch which punches 1/8 inch hole at the top of the shade. Make hole in four plates at one time and after that use the first hole as a guide line in punching the second set. Use a needle and a wide pretty ribbon to cord the holes and tie them together. This process will draw the shade inward. The process to prepare the slip cover at home is easy, it will give a great look to the house without much expenses. All the items required for preparing the slip cover are easily available at a stationery shop.
