The wooden handle generally has got a big hole in the middle. The edge of the steel plate projecting out as steel is being used for the purpose of cutting wood. The wooden handle is there for the handyman to hold the long saw. The big hole in the wooden part helps the handyman to properly grip the long saw. Thus the long saw is a tool easy to produce and very hassle free to handle.

Usage of long saws

The basic and primary usage of the long saw is in the making of the furniture. It is used in giving the log of wood desired shape. Long saws are also very useful in making fences at the boundary of our house so as to ensure safety. It can also be used for the purpose of making wooden containers.
