L-SHAPED LAYOUT

Though there are many types of layouts of kitchens but the most preferred one is the L-shaped layout and if the kitchen is in a corner then it is the only preferable layout. Also when the kitchen is next to an open room such as the dining room or lounge this type of layout is the best as long as your appliances don't create much noise. This layout uses two adjacent walls spreading out the work centers. Generally the refrigerator is at one end, wall oven is at another end and the sink is generally laced in the center. This plan frees a lot of floor space and also directs the traffic away from the cook's work area. The walking distance between the main zones in your kitchen is also minimized so that the space saved on the other side can be used as a dining area. Also this type of layout adapts itself to a wide range of arrangements. The only problem with this type of layout is that the storage space under the corner worktop creates some problem, as it cannot be used as properly as other storage areas. But nevertheless you can use it for storage of those things that you don't use frequently. So it won't create much problem.

As the L-shaped layout gives you so many advantages, it becomes crystal clear that it is one of the best layout for the kitchen because by this layout you not only save a lot of space but also you can utilize that space in a much better manner. The greatest advantage of this layout is that it requires less space but gives you greater flexibility in the location of the workstations than the others.
