How to play dodge ball Dodge ball basically played by the ages group four and above. There is officially requirement of sixteen to thirty for one inning. One and most important accessory of the game of dodge ball is the large ball. The ball should be extremely light in weight. So that it does not hit the person dodging hard and it could be easily whirled in air. It could probably be beach ball or soccer ball or volley ball. It is prominently outdoor activity. And it could be competitive or noncompetitive game. The game can be played in following way: 1. Divide the players into two teams. One team forms a circle and the other team gets inside the circle. 2. The players forming the circle will throw the ball at the players inside the circle, who are trying to dodge the ball. 3. The inside players should not touch or catch the ball. A ball hitting a player above shoulder does not count. Players on the circle may throw and catch the ball. 4. Players who get hit by ball are out Set up of dodge ball Officially dodge ball requires least thirty players. However the numbers of players present are distributed in two teams. But when you are planning it to play in your backyard it is not possible. That time you can have a set up done in your backyard. The set up can be done by cement concrete wall or a plastic board. This is circular or oval structure built so that it forms the boundary. Boundary can be instead of players to prevent the ball from going out. One player can run and dodge the ball while the other can throw the ball at him standing out of boundary.
