SOFT TOYS
Soft toys are toys that are stuffed from inside. The stuffing material is usually cotton, wool, straw, beans etc. The material in which it is stuffed is generally cloth, flannel or velvet etc. Sock puppets are made by stuffing socks or stockings. But most of the times, these are only the heads of animals.
Bringing them home
More often than not, soft toys are animals. But other shapes like vehicles, trees etc are also available. Vehicles include cars, sport cars, trucks, lorries, tractors, planes etc. These are favored among boys. Trees, plants or flowers, leaves etc. are also of a different type. Dolls in different get-ups are also available in the market. These are mostly preferred by girls.
Soft toys that are replicas of superstars are also the newest craze. These are dolls that look like some pop singer or film / sports stars. Toon characters also top the list of favorites among teenagers.
Soft toys ëeatí a lot of dust. I.e. they absorb dust from the surroundings and store it in their fabric. If the toy has fur, things only get worse. Hence, while purchasing, furry or thickly textured soft toys should be avoided. Or else, it should be checked that the material is washable.
These toys can be displayed in the showcase, or can be placed over cabinets or can even be kept on the table; in a bedroom. They can also be hung from the ceiling, in a corner; or at the windows. In such cases, the color of these have to be coordinated with the color of other interior elements of the bedroom like furniture, curtains etc.
Soft toys come in various sizes. They are as small as your hand and can be as big as an adult man. Large sized toys do look cute and it feels very cozy to hug them. But storage is also an issue that needs to be thought about. Though light in weight, they occupy a whole lot of space.
