SOFT BOARD
A soft board is made of particleboard or some other soft wood material on which cloth is stretched and tacked onto. Compressing the particles that remain after cutting of wood makes a particleboard. The cloth, which it is covered, is usually thick cotton; sometimes-soft jute may also be used.

Things are put onto this soft board by tucking pins. These pins have large heads made up of plastic, which enable the user, ease to push and pull them.
In a teenagerís bedroom, soft board should be put in front of the study table. It can even be put besides the bed back.
All-important things can be quickly scribbled down and tucked on it. This makes it easily visible and hence acts as a reminder. Forgetting important dates like birthdays of friends, college events, some programmers etc. can be avoided in this way. Any pictures drawn or painted by self or poetry or thoughts written down; when viewed after getting up in the in the morning or before going to bed can be inspirational. Looking at them gives a boost to the confidence level. Posters of your favorite idol or pictures of scenic beauty are soothing and good to look at. They also provide a decorative look to the wall.
While tucking various things on the soft board, it is advisable to put articles that you plan to keep for longer periods; say a few weeks or months; like pictures or posters etc.; on the top of the board. Items like the college timetable or study schedule etc. should be put in the middle band of the board. Things that are going to be removed within a day or two should be placed at the lowermost level.
While selecting the cloth for the soft board, it should be kept in mind that it gets dusty and looks weary and thus has to be washed every 4-6 months. The texture of the cloth must be ëpinning-friendlyí. The color of the cloth has to be accentuated with the color scheme of the rest of the interiors of the bedroom.
Soft Corner
A soft board is a less expensive option as it saves the cost of painting or furniture of one wall. It is also a very helpful backdrop for a noting down important happenings of a teenagerís active life.
